PLASTIC FOR WATER
PLASTIKI KWA MAJI
At EDCA, we reduce plastic waste, we drill boreholes to provide clean water,
and revive abandoned rural schools across rural Kenya.
Our aim is to transform them into vibrant community hubs.
That’s how our Plastic for Water (Plastiki kwa maji) project began.
Through this recycling program, we raise funds to empower vulnerable children with education, vital resources, and life skills to become confident, responsible leaders.

HOW THE
'PLASTIC FOR WATER' PROJECT WORKS
-
We drill boreholes to provide clean drinking water to thousands.
This reduces the risk of waterborne diseases.
Families are relieved of the daily burden of finding safe water.
-
We collect plastic waste to fund these boreholes, while also:
Creating jobs and income for local communities.
Removing tons of plastic from the environment.
Educating communities on environmental conservation.
Teaching thousands of students about the dangers of pollution.
-
We support orphans with education and basic needs, helping them
build a brighter, more secure future.
-
We’re constantly expanding, bringing our impact to more districts across Kenya.
This life-changing project is only possible with your support.

BE PART OF THE CHANGE
We’re are currently fundraising to acquire a plastic baling and smashing machine (see on the left) - an essential tool to expand the reach of our "Plastic for Water" initiative.
This machine will enable us to tackle plastic pollution, provide employment opportunities, and generate sustainable funds for clean water access and support for at-risk children.
EVERY DONATION, NO MATTER HOW BIG, MATTERS
